The Metallurgical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) held a gala dinner together with all Academic Staff and Advisory Board of the ITB Metallurgical Engineering Study Program, as well as keynote speakers, invited guests, panelists, and sponsors of the IPMC 2023 event to celebrate and strengthening the relationship them. The gala dinner was held on September 13, 2023 at El Hotel Bandung.

This event was also intended as a birthday celebration for Mr. Rozik Boedioro Soetjipto’s birthday and appreciation of his dedication in the field of mining and metallurgy. From 1968 to 2008, Mr. Rozik Boedioro Soetjipto passionately served as a lecturer in Metallurgical Engineering Study Program ITB. He also played a crucial role as the Director of Mineral Resources at the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) from 1983 to 1985. Later, he achieved remarkable success in various key position in the Department of Mining and Energy, such as Director of Mining Development, Director General of Geology and Mineral Resources, and Dircetor General of Public Mining. From 2012 to 2015, Mr. Rozik Boedioro Soetjipto made history when he sserved as the President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia, His involvement in the mining industry reached it’s peak when he continued his role as Senior Advisor at PT Freeport Indonesia from 2015 to 2021. This event serves as a reminder of how much Rozik has contributed to the mining and metallurgy sector.
