Research Activities:

  • Primary tin ore (greisen, oxide clay, and skarn types) processing from Bangka and Belitung Islands, Indonesia by gravity separation processes.
  • Beneficiation of Indonesian low grade lateritic Ni ore.
  • Beneficiation of Indonesian low grade bauxite ore by cationic reverse flotation.
  • Bioflotation of sulfide complex ores (chalcopyrite-galena-sphalerite) by using a biosurfactant-producing mixotropic bacterium as bioflotation reagent.
  • Bioflocculation and biocoagulation of silica and other minerals by using a biosurfactant-producing mixotropic bacterium as bioflocculant and biocoagulant.
  • Bioprocess of coal in reducing ash, sulfur, and Na contents by using a biosurfactant-producing mixotropic bacterium.
  • Upgrading of Indonesian non-coking coal to produce metallurgical cokes.
  • De-inking flotation and bioflotation of used paper for reuse of the paper.
